Terms of service
These terms cover the use of TaskDash and TrueDuty. By creating a workspace or joining one you agree to them.
Last updated 25 October 2026
Your workspace
- The person who creates a workspace is its owner and is responsible for who joins and what roles they get.
- The owner decides the team policy, for example whether screenshots may be enabled. Each person still has to agree before screenshots are taken.
Fair use
- Do not use the service to monitor people without telling them. Every person tracked must know TrueDuty is running.
- Do not try to break the signed log, the encryption or the access controls, and do not resell access without permission.
Payroll
Payroll numbers come from tracked time and the rates you enter. Check them before paying anyone. Bills generated by TaskDash are records, not tax invoices, unless your local law says otherwise.
Availability
We aim to keep the service available and publish its state on the status page. Planned work is announced in the changelog.
Open source
The TrueDuty app is open source under the MIT license. You may run your own TaskDash server; these terms then apply only to the hosted service.
Liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the fees you paid in the last twelve months.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters, we will say so in the changelog and in the panel at least 14 days before the change applies.
